BrainSlap turns trivia into a rivalry.
BrainSlap is a mobile-first competitive trivia game created by Mind Metric IQ. The product is designed around short asynchronous battles that are easy to start, fair to compare and fun to share.
Why we built it
Many trivia products feel solitary even when they contain leaderboards. We wanted the emotional clarity of playing one person: the same questions, a visible result and a reason to request another match. Asynchronous play removes the scheduling problem while preserving a direct comparison.
Our question approach
The database contains tens of thousands of text and image questions across broad categories and difficulty levels. Quantity is not treated as a substitute for quality. Questions can be made inactive when they are outdated, repetitive, excessively niche, ambiguous or technically broken. Historical match records remain intact when a question is retired.
Difficulty is used to shape the progression of a match. Category labels are shown to provide context. Wrong answers are intended to be plausible without turning the question into a wording trick. Play data such as correctness and response time can help identify items that need editorial review.
Our editorial principles
- Use original explanatory content rather than copying trivia articles from other publishers.
- Keep one defensible answer for each active question.
- Add dates or context to facts that can change.
- Separate recreational trash talk from personal harassment.
- Explain scoring, ratings and asynchronous opponents honestly.
- Provide visible privacy, contact and account-deletion information.
