BrainSlap is a competitive trivia game operated by Mind Metric IQ. We use information only to operate, secure, understand, improve, and market the game.
Information we process
We may process your chosen username, email address and authentication records; game answers, scores, challenges, rivalries and progress; device and diagnostic information; and product analytics such as screens viewed, buttons used, sessions and referral information. When you arrive through an advertisement, we may also process campaign parameters, Meta click identifiers, advertising cookies, IP address, and browser user agent.
How we use it
We use this information to provide accounts and recovery, run and score battles, deliver friend challenges, preserve history, prevent abuse, send requested service or BrainTime reminder emails, measure advertising and product performance, build aggregated audiences, and improve the experience.
Service providers
BrainSlap uses Supabase for authentication and game data, PostHog for product analytics, Resend for email delivery, Meta Business Tools for advertising measurement, and Cloudflare Pages and R2 for hosting, question images, and assets. These providers process information under their own privacy and security terms.
Advertising measurement
We use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure visits, game starts, and completed games and to understand which advertisements perform best. Browser and server events share an event identifier so the same action is not counted twice. You can limit advertising cookies through your browser settings and Meta advertising preferences.
Choices and deletion
Daily BrainTime is optional and begins only after you request it and confirm your email. You can stop reminders at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or through your BrainSlap account settings. You may request deletion of your BrainSlap account and associated personal data through our account deletion page.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security. We use technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
BrainSlap is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
